rip-off re: internet speed - AT&T DSL Internet


I have been paying for high speed internet for over a year, lured into it in order to get a manageable bill. However, I learned last week--on a call responding to a whopping increase in my bill--that the modem they installed last year can't support the speed I was paying for. When I called back re: the fact that I was paying for speed the modem they installed can't support, CS rep Beth (#BH5554) and supervisor Theresa told me, after a 45 minutes conversation that they wouldn't make an adjustment for the year-long overcharge, as I should have known and called within 60 days. They were rude and wouldn't listen to the fact that I had indeed called about the speed.
