Worst Internet Service in the Southeastern USA

I have had AT&T as my internet service provider for years, unfortunately because this is the only provider aside from Comcast in my area. (Comcast isn't any better) Every time there is a raindrop within 100 miles the DSL goes out, or a clap of thunder, a lightning strike a leaf falling from a tree, a dog barking, a vehicle with a loud muffler, or people yelling at each other the internet goes down. It is virtually impossible to get these people to help resolve issues because they know that they are the only service provider and as far as they are concerned "just deal with it". Bah humbug.
