On a fixed social security income At&t increased my bill from 14.95 a month dsl to 41.00 in one fell swoop.When I called about it the operator stated that At&t is forcing out DSL customers in favor of it's new Uverse internet and would I like to sign up for Uverse at 39.00 a month plus 30 dollars for phone plus 100 dollar fee for modem plus 100 dollar fee for installation. I said "no thank you very much."I have 3 dsl modems for them already.My bill was a manageable 36.00 a month with elder/disabled credits through lifelink/lifeline.now they want 69.00 or the current 61.00.A 150 percent increase in one go on the internet.I am thankful I live in a state where financial abuse of the elderly and disabled is a felony.If my bill is not corrected in 30 days I am going to file a fraud complaint with the federal trade commission. I live on 800 dollars a month confined most often to bed or wheelchair. Shame on you sorry, greedy At&t for not offering your customers who never miss a bill ON TIME, in FULL free modems etc when you upgrade a service that works fine like it is. email@example.com
