  • Internet upgrade snafu

    Had my ATT internet service repaired recently. Service tech (on 1st and 2nd outage repairs) says an upgrade from 1.5M to 3M or 6M is possible. Cable splicer (on 2nd outage repair) says yes, it can be done. Internet repair service rep says yes, it can be done. Sales originally said "within 24 hours". After 2 days, sales says "someone is working on it". Repeated calls (over 25 days) and sales still says "someone is working on it". There doesn't appear to be any other number to call or way to resolve the impasse in the sales department. More...

  • Installation Problems

    1. Install changed to family room - not functional for me! All equipment is in my office - i.e., fax, medical alert. 2. Son gave me a Medical Alert kit. Doing install he left the double ended phone connection wire, and small phone attach plug -- where is the base? I need to have this connected for 911 emergency calls. 3.     The company I am referring to was a long time AT&T customer. They had a fairly high bill, but it worked for them. The company I am speaking of moved locations. So, we verified that the DSL was turned on in the new building (we actually had two DSL lines turned on for some reason or another). We also had an AT&T tech come out and activate the phone lines.   • ATT losing my DSL order--twice!

    I ordered increased memory on my shared wireless devices, and DSL internet service, at the end of May. I was on the phone for over an hour, had to call 4 times, got dropped once, then finally, or so I thought, got the order in. My DSL modem arrived by overnight FedEX, but i couldnt gert it to work.   • slow internet speed

    A Nightmare! Recently, I have noticed that instead of getting 3.0 MPS I get sometimes less then 0.5. Youtube video do not start or it takes a minute for them to start playing 44 seconds or so and buffers forever. I called to AT@T Technical support. Of course, got no help. They must access remotely yours PC. Instead, they walk you through your internet over the phone. They have put my IE 10 to default, and I lost a safety search button for my Norton 360.   • DSL light constantly blinking, half page load

    I recently purchased a new router since my old one stopped working and now evert time that I try and get on the Internet I get half of a page loaded if one loads at all, pictures missing, and reading is impossible because I have to constantly keep reloading the pages sometimes it takes me reloading a page 6 times and then everything will come up but once I move to a new page the same thing happens again, the lights are constantly blinking all the time surfing the web is impossible and doing homework is even worse I can even look at examples because of this and I have been with ATT for...   • Unacceptable Charges

    I called U-verse today to cancel my service and I was told that I would be charged a $70.00 cancellation because I had agreed to a verbal contract over the phone, which I never at any point and time agreed to.   • Cancel My INTERNET!!!

    ATT has horrible customer service!!! Just today i have been on hold for over an hour without even speaking to anyone while trying to cancel my service through them!!!! Last time and several other times when i called in they have hung up on me and transferred me to the wrong department numerous times. Not to mention each transfer takes at least 15 minutes on hold. They charged me the wrong amount (48 dollars) for service for almost an entire year and it was suppose to cost 19.95.   • Promotional rate never applied to bill

    I started DSL service w/ ATT in August of this year. When I signed up I agreed to a rate of $24 dollars a month. I got my first bill and the rate was double ($48). I called and they said to just pay the bill as the promotion takes a couple of billing cycles to kick in. I did and it is now month 5 at the $48 rate. I have called the company several times and no one at the company can verify my original agreed upon rate.     Around Oct. 2, 2011 i spoke with a connectech rep. about my pc having vuneble virus. i was on the phone over 3 hours, on today, Oct. 5, i spoke with Jeremiah ID# JS477T who pleased me very much by solving my issue. Back on or about the 2nd i was told that i needed to upgrade my megbits from 1.5 to 3.0 to have protection & was told then everything was ok.     I have been a dsl customer and att as service provider sucks. I have never been so agervated with a company in my life. I get disconnected from your service, wich was your fault, then when I do try to get my service back, you say that I cant.     hi i applied on line for a cell phone with att. the rep assured me i was approved and told i dont need money down for my package. i asked her again are you sure because if not i would go to the sprint offers instead. i am currently with tmobile and very unhappy. my tmobile phone has no signal most of the time and i am paying 100.00 for only 10 gigs a month. after i reach my 10 gigs then my internet slows up to dial up speed which you should know is like molasses. if you cant give the correct info for a potential new customer who is willing to switch to att. then so be it then sprint...   • Not having Internet Service all the time

    I keep losing my internet connection. Not just once or twice a week, not even just once or twice a day. More like at least once or twice an hour maybe even more. When it happens it says that I have lost internet connection and ATT is trying to resolve the problem.   • Slow DSL speed

    I have had AT&T DSL internet service for over 5 years and until recently have been satisfied. I have their DSL Express service which is supposed to perform at 328 - 1500KBS. My service speed was consistently 1250 KBS until recently when I noticed downloads were taking longer than before. Using AT&T's own speed test I found my download speed had slowed to 500KBS.
